This is my first entry into my blog. Today, I worked on developing my portfolio and having fun with my art. I am so proud of how much I have developed as an artist since September 2023, when I made the decision to apply myself to improving my artistry skills. The photos below show my progress today while working on "Winter Girl with Winterberries". I did this in my new favorite medium colored pencil on paper. I think its coming along nicely. After finishing this sketch, I changed to flowers to winterberries and I plan to do a color version of that next, along with doing a paper cut collage for this piece after I figure out the background scenery.
